TJ Hitchings is a Video Producer at Barstool Sports.

He ran the Rutger’s Barstool Instagram account before interning and ultimately being hired at Barstool full time.

He graduated from Rutgers in May of 2019. While at Rutgers University he was apart of their Campus Viceroy program. A Viceroy “rules the campus in the name of the king.” The chosen college students run Barstool’s campus accounts and posts the best content on campus via Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, etc. in the name of Barstool. They need to be knowledgable about all things parties and sports, and anything else that a typical student would want to know on campus. The content is supposed to be funny, controversial, and anything that will get attention. They can earn college credit, free merchandise, and cash for holding this position. It’s a great role for Marketing and Journalism majors.

The Viceroy program is intended to be a way for college students to show Barstool why they should get a job there after college, so if you have dreams of working for Barstool Sports, research your school’s current Viceroy to see if a position is or will soon be open. Barstool looks for unique skills from their Viceroys such as video editing, graphic design, etc.

TJ was the Viceroy for Rutgers University for 2 years and interned at Barstool Sports for 7 months. While being the Viceroy for Rutgers, he grew the Barstool Rutgers Instagram account from 4,000 followers to 30,000 followers.

He’s currently a producer in E-Sports and Gambling, as well as for their Yankees Podcast. Furthermore, he enjoys working on Barstool’s livestreams for the various personalities who work there.

A video producer for Barstool works on projects from start to finish including coming up with content and execution. He monitors and analyzes created content and decides what to push on social media after it originally airs. He tries to deliver the most captivating content possible to create relatability and excitement in their audiences.
